Description

I spent a few hours to host a fork of the project in order to translate it in French.

I just finished to translate it and I think we could add the link to the main website.

I took some minor liberties sometimes but globally, it's just a full translation of the whole project. I'll try to keep it in sync with the main project as long as the rework of PrivacyTools is not done (since PrivacyTools will handle translations by default).

If you saw typos or you feel like something could be better translated, feel free to open an issue on Gitlab.

Thanks.

Awesome, thanks! I'm working on implementing localization on the main site (you can look at #621 but it's a mess, I'll clean up that thread now that I have an idea of how the localization will work). I think that's going to be useful for keeping the translations in sync with the English site.

Yup, definitely! I saw the thread but already started to translate the website so I thought it would be useful until the work is done.

I will not translate whole again!! :)
I think that would be easy to add the work done in translation, right?

BTW: Great to find another translation!!

It will be a matter of copy and paste mostly.

Though I guess I could try to write a script to assist that, assuming your fork is up to date enough.

I am trying to keep my fork up to date but as I said, there are small modifications sometimes. (I maybe had removed one or two lines somewhere, when I felt it was not appropriate for french people, and replaced YouTube links with PeerTube (because I avoid as much as possible Google).
I also removed Analytics code (why is it even there? I know it's for stats but... is it really needed? Why would this be needed?).
But except those minors things (who can maybe annoy you a bit if you make a script), it's up to date.

I also removed the Analytics code, and also removed links to non-free social media like FB, linkedin or Twitter (that reminds me that I have to add Mastodon sharer!!)
