nginx serves these paths with max-age=31536000, immutable, and applies it to
a 404 exactly as readily as to an image. A request for a file that had not
shipped yet — one of our own checks, as it happens — pinned a 404 in
Cloudflare's cache for a year, and redeploying does not dislodge it: the
edge never asks the origin again.

The version in the name gives the store listing a URL the cache has never
seen. It also makes the screenshots honest about which release they show.
