Firstly, the article explains that the x509 certificates and related checksums used in the JonDonym network for encrypted connections are no longer recommended by IETF, Mozilla and Google.

The second part is about the actual browser profile..

It seems no research on vulnerability is done or at least integrated by them anymore,
in comparison to https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser/design/
