Firstly, the article explains that the x509 certificates and related checksums used in the JonDonym network for encrypted connections are no longer recommended by IETF, Mozilla and Google.
The second part is about the actual browser profile..
in comparison to https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser/design/
But you're right 😉 I have to check the statements made on the German website on my own ...
