Basic Information
Name: ente
Category: Encrypted cloud storage
URL: https://ente.io
Description
ente is a privacy-friendly alternative to Google/Apple Photos that let's you easily backup and share your photos and videos, end-to-end encrypted.
We have zero-knowledge of the contents of your files, that are encrypted with
XChaCha20
, and replicated across multiple data centers in the EU (Amsterdam, Paris). Our architecture and apps have been open sourced and peer reviewed.
We've been building ente for over a year now, and we recently launched on r/degoogle and received a warm welcome. We've since then been incorporating user feedback and iterating on the product.
Why I am making the suggestion
As fellow privacy evangelists, we would love to get ourselves added to this list.
