Basic Information
Name: Optimize-Offline
Category: Windows 10
URL: https://github.com/DrEmpiricism/Optimize-Offline
Description
A tool for generating custom self-tweaked Windows 10 installation image with enforced privacy, less bloatware and disabling any telemetry functionality.
Why I am making the suggestion
Considering that Windows at installation itself already contain any telemetry turned on by default and the unnecessary preinstalled software that risk our privacy, by using this tool we can strip out those problem at installation image level. Optimize-Offline is actively developed and open source. The author also gives an extensive explanation of basic setup and use of his software in the MDL forum.
My connection with the software
I'm not the author. I am using this software to generate my own stripped Windows 10 LTSC build installation image and installing it in my laptop right now. It run less memory and services from the standard windows installation on the first boot. The app is configureable and provide extensive explanation on their README.md.
