Interesting project, it's a mesh network messenger (hence the portmanteau name) according to the doc, similarly to Briar or BCM social for example. However, it does not seem to allow for direct P2P connection by wifi or bluetooth, it seems to rely on connecting the device to a network and then use this network to discuss between peers. At least that's what I understand from the linked doc, or the doc is highly unclear on this point.
