Description
The formatting and sentence structure of card contents are inconsistent in some places.
Bolding
For some sections there is no bolding in the first sentence of the description. For example, the cards listed at https://www.privacytools.io/providers/paste/ do not bold the name of the service in the description:
This is also the case in https://www.privacytools.io/software/real-time-communication/, https://www.privacytools.io/software/notebooks/, etc.
But some sections having bolding in all of the card descriptions. For instance, at https://www.privacytools.io/software/passwords/ we have bolding:
We should either not bold the service/software/etc. name or bold them all.
Sentence structure of first sentences
The first sentence of the descriptions vary in structure.
A lot of them follow the structure of
but some don't.
For example, looking at https://www.privacytools.io/providers/hosting/, almost all recommendations follow the
<Name> <Summary text>
sentence structure.Njalla doesn't follow this structure as its first sentence is (an incomplete sentence)
Some sections follow the
<Name> <Summary text>
structure entirely, but some others have a mix. This sentence structure issue is somewhat related to bolding of the name in the description.
Also, the recommendation for Terms of Service; Didn't Read at https://www.privacytools.io/browsers/#addons loosely follows this structure but it's not grammatical. The TOS;DR recommendation doesn't follow
<Name> <Verb> <Noun phrase>
' “I have read and agree to the Terms” is the biggest lie on the web' is also not really a summary of what the extension actually does for users.
Thank you for your contribution! I don't have time to look at your changes atm but ill try to review it tonight!
How much does this still apply?
I noticed that at least the Notebooks section is a bit off with the Joplin warning not being a tooltip, but instead its own section.
